Unusual Gifts

Sometimes I have been asked to design and create gifts whose concepts did not call for baskets (this is what I call “out-of-basket thinking”). In such cases, I work with the client to try and find how I can best capture what they want, and how it would be best loved by the recipient. In one case below, a cake “basket” filled with candy made an exciting Halloween surprise for children in 2017. In another case, I sourced an authentic, 1060s Tinkertoy cylinder and researched the dimensions of the original pieces to create, using CAD software and a 3D printer, a modern version of a set of Tinkertoy’s for a nostalgic collector.
